About this product
The 4 × 6 inch label format every major carrier’s software prints to. Direct thermal means no ribbon and no ink — the printhead marks the paper directly, so the only consumable is the label itself.
Sold by the label and supplied on 500-label rolls, so our 1,000 label minimum is two rolls. At a bulk schedule most buyers take 50,000 or more at a time, which is where the price break sits.
Permanent acrylic adhesive holds on corrugated board, poly mailers and paper mailers, including in cold and damp conditions.
Direct thermal labels fade. That is inherent to the technology, not a defect — heat, sunlight and friction darken or bleach the print over weeks. It is the correct choice for shipping labels that are scanned within days. It is the wrong choice for asset or archive labels that must stay legible for months; those need thermal transfer with a ribbon.

Frequently asked questions
Will these work with my printer?
They fit desktop direct thermal printers that take 4 inch media — the common carrier label printers. The thing to check is core size: 25 mm cores suit most compact desktop units, 76 mm cores suit larger industrial ones. If you are unsure, tell us the printer model on a quote request.
Do I need a ribbon?
No. Direct thermal printers mark the paper with heat. If your printer requires a ribbon it is a thermal transfer printer and needs different labels — ask us and we will quote the right stock.
How long does the print stay readable?
Weeks under normal handling, which is well beyond the life of a shipping label. Sustained heat, direct sunlight or abrasion will fade it faster. For anything that must remain legible for months, use thermal transfer instead.
Roll or fanfold?
Rolls suit printers with an internal spindle. Fanfold stacks feed from behind the printer and are easier to reload mid-run at higher volumes.
