Packaging quantity calculator

Tell us how many orders you ship and how many months of stock you want to hold. The tool works out the quantity, how long a minimum order would last, and the price.

How the calculation works

Units needed = orders per month × units per order × months of stock, plus an allowance for waste. We then round up to the product’s minimum order and its ordering step, and price it from the published quantity breaks at the default size. If the minimum is more than you need, the tool tells you how long it would last, so you can decide whether the unit-price saving is worth holding the stock.

Orders also need at least $1,000.00 of goods before freight. Prices are in USD, before freight and tax, and are indicative until you place an order. See the price lists for every size.

Questions

Why is there a minimum order?

Bulk pricing only works at pallet scale. Below a certain order value the handling cost per unit is higher than the saving, so every product has a minimum worth at least $1,000. If a minimum order would take you more than a year to use, a smaller supplier is probably the better fit.

How long can I store packaging?

Most plastic and paper packaging stores well for a year or more in a cool, dry place away from sunlight. Compostable film is the exception: plan on about twelve months.

Should I buy more to reach a lower price tier?

Only if you will use it. A lower unit price does not help if the stock sits for a year. The calculator shows months of cover so you can judge.

Can I combine products to reach the order minimum?

Yes. The order minimum is on the total value of goods, so several products can be combined, but each product still has its own minimum quantity.
